Best fishing buddies..

Everyone has their favourite hunting and fishing buddies, it just goes with the territory! These are the folks in your life with whom you share that special interest in the sport, and the first ones you think of when you accomplish something note-worthy in the Great Outdoors

Without our close hunting and fishing buddies, pursuing a passion for the sport would be rather humdrum, now wouldn’t it? And we inevitably share much more than just hunting and fishing when it comes to our buddies, don’t we? The close friends and family who participate in our favourite activities will become some of the nearest and dearest friends we’ll ever have!

For me, when it comes to fishing, my father Rathwell Morrison, my brother-in-law Steve Enright and our very close friend Bruce Rogers make up the three greatest fishing buddies anyone could ask for.

Not only have been fishing together for over 20 years (40 years for my Dad), we’ve shared millions of stories and many ups and downs along the way – a few of which are featured in my book actually.

Here’s to all the best hunting and fishing buddies out there, may there be a special place at the right hand of God for you one day..or if not there, at least somewhere that has really good fishing!

  2. Great post Jeff, I fully agree. My father was my #1 fiching /hunting buddy. Now that he is unable, it’s been my brother. I also have 4 great friends that I moose hunt every 2 years with…the hunts may not be often, but the times lived are!!! 🙂

  3. Thanks Serge. I know what you mean. I have some hunting buddies I see but once a year, and we still remain the best of friends..picking up where we left off every time!

Have a good one…I’m sorry to hear your Dad isn’t able to get out any more..I’m dreading that day.

  4. Buddies are what make the trip, and the stories to tell for years after. The constant ribbing and competition just keeps things interesting. And the honour of reminiding the others about the current champ belongs to the winner – until the next trip. Good times.

  5. Thanks Jeff. What I hate more than not having my dad as a partner, is seeing him slowly forget the past, I think that’s worse than not being able to do it.

I look forward to havin my son or daughter or both become my hunting/fishing buddies, that would be awesome!!!

Hey, I’m still waiting for you to stop by sometime….the invite is always there.

Thanks again for the invite, although I haven’t been up north since Christmas, and everytime

  6. Thats because when you get older time flys by and the only way to stop it is use a bigger sinker when you put a line in the water it tends to slow everything down .

  7. I do think that the voices of a lot of the people who would be impacted by such a decision were not heard, while the voices of groups that have a track record of opposing thses kind of activities were given a loud voice.

  8. What do you think Folks…is this spam or just really hard to figure out?
